I. Pastor:

Rev. Timothy A. Meehan, The Pastor; Appointed January 28th 1991

II. Deacons:

There are two Permanent Deacons ordained by the Bishop and assigned to St. Therese Parish:

1.) Carmine Angeloni, Transferred from the Church of the Ascension in Hamden in 1991, ordained in 1973;
2.) Louis Florio, Transferred from St. Barnabas Church in 1994, ordained in 1992.

 

The Permanent Deacons serve the parish in many forms of ministry. They assist the priest at Mass, preach on a regular schedule, perform Baptisms, visits the sick and contact prayer services.

 

III. Extraordinary Ministers of The Eucharist:

A group of men and women who are commissioned by the Bishop to assist with administering Communion to parishioners during Mass. They are also given the responsibility of bringing Communion to shut-ins in the parish and to those in hospitals.

 

IV. Lectors:

A group of men and women who read the Scripture and the Prayers of the Faithful at the Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses. The Lectors read on alternate weekends.

 

V. Ushers ( Greeters ):

A group of men or women who act as greeters at the entrances to the Church, seat people at Masses, assist at the various collections and assist in distributing bulletins or flyers.

VI. Altar Servers:

The altar servers are the young people who assist the Priest at Mass on Saturdays and Sundays, weddings and holy days. This group is made up of boys and girls from the 4th through the 10th grade.
